Challenge #54 was to design a learning interaction around the Ebola outbreak.

I created 4 slides demo about lack of qualified staff ready to help in Africa. This mobile size interaction was showcased by Articulate at DevLearn Conference 2014 in Las Vegas.

Pantone announced its 2015 color of the year which was Marsala. Challenge #63 was to design an e-learning template or interaction using Marsala as the primary color.

I designed this 5 topics tab demo with big circle content placeholder in the centre. More text is visible after clicking small rounded buttons at the bottom. Another white dot indicates which topic is viewed.

Challenge #55 was to design a training interaction, job aid, or mini-course to help learners prepare for and survive the Zombie Apocalypse.

I created short game with Zombies attacking a house and your aim is to protect it. Motion paths were very helpful. Enjoy!

Challenge #56 was to design an infographic, poster, or a simple list of the top 10 things instructional designers don’t like to hear.

I designed an interactive menu card with dishes (client's wishes while working on e-learning projects) to choose from. Fancy classic navigation burger?

Challenge #68 was to to help fans learn more about American football concepts.

It was a tough challenge. I didn't know anything about this sport. Finally I decided to focus on the basics - a ball. Do you know what's the size of the ball, how much it weighs and what maximum speed it can achieve? You'll find it out by viewing the demo.

2015 has just started and it's time travelling destination year in the Back to the future (great!) film. I've noticed there’s a growing amount of pages/FB groups/hash tags around this date/event. Are you a real fan of Marty McFly and Emmett "Doc" Brown trilogy?

Challenge #64 was to show how interactive charts and graphs can be used in online training.

I'm 127% cycling fan - so couldn't imagine any other data to present as these related to BIKES! I absolutely love the idea using bike image as a slider.

Challenge #62 was to help the fellow community members survive the holidays.

I liked this challenge very much! I created a memory game which aim was very clearly defined: you as a Santa need to match the right gift to the right kid. Had so much fun working on the game! Try this out and make all the children happy with the presents.

Challenge #58 was one of my favourites. It was about to design a digital learning magazine.

Dogs are so cute and called as "man's best friends" - that's why I created this special, mobile phone size, edition of the Dog Magazine with the real expert's advices on how to travel safely with your dog. Have a look at how a bone slider presents some important information.

This challenge was to design a poster around a favorite freelancing tip for course designers.

It took me around an hour to create an entry for this challenge - it's definitely the quickest submission I've designed so far. How do you like my favourite quote? And what's yours?

Challenge #66 was to create or share a creative invoice example or template.

I really liked this challenge idea. I created a fake invoice for Unicorn Training using the company's colours and branding elements. Small blue triangles with a shadow placed in every corner emphasized a 3D effect. Everything was done in...PowerPoint.

Challenge #59 was to build a simple e-learning game for kids.

My community fellows came up with a lot of brilliant ideas for this challenge. I decided to create something both educational and engaging the same time. Learn to count and save a tree was the game I designed as my entry. The aim was to show how recycling can help to take care of the nature. Do you know how many kg of recycled paper can save a tree's life?

Challenge #69 was to build an e-learning game, presentation, or interaction for a medical topic or concept.

Memory games are really cool. So with a lots of variables, triggers and states I built a "match the pairs" game in my portfolio. Medical icons were used as the symbols to match. My creativity exploded with another submission - which was medical tabs template and PowerPoint icons which are free to download in Freebies section.

Showing how progress indicators can be used in e-learning was our challenge #60.

For me, progress is a kind of journey. So the first thought was to build something around...a tube! You have to decide how many stops you need to go, and where/when to change to achieve your final destination. Some triggers track the 3 tube lines journey. Enjoy your ride.

This challenge was the first one I participated in. The aim was to show creative ways to use sliders in online learning.

I combined for this project a slider and some variables. There are two sliders showing some data as X and Y axis. The output is an interactive order form for...cookies factory. So - how many cookies do you want to order today?

Challenge #70 was to design an interactive graphic, demo, or activity that features a Valentine’s Day.

I wanted to create something outstanding, really outside of the box. There are only few of my entries with sound effects - so this was a perfect chance to play around with love songs, but...in reversed way. It's one of my favourite submissions - the idea is unusual and there's no red colour at all! Put your headphones on and check your knowledge in love songs played backwards.

Challenge #73 was to share an odd or silly title for an e-learning course and design a course cover slide using this silly title.

I bet this challenge will be the one with the most submissions ever! Many designers participated in this funny challenge practicing their design, typography, and layout skills.
My example was about Comic Sans font - one of the most disliked fonts by designers.

In challenge #74 David Anderson tasked us to design a short interaction using toys as a primary characters. Basically the objective this week was to replace usual e-learning graphics and characters with toys.

My thoughts appeared in this order:
- to borrow a toy (what? from who?)
- to tell a nice story using this toy (about what?)
- to do a shooting session (where?)

As a result you can see a teddy bear, who is guiding you through his day as an e-learning designer at Unicorn Training.

This week's task was to share practical examples of educational animations.

I love animations, love the graphics being alive and telling a nice story. I used play around a lot with Flash few years back, so couldn't imagine something else than using an old Flash animation and combine it with Storyline 2. It's a short interaction showing how to animate a mouse...with a surprise at the end. Check yourself what was it.
NB. May not work on mobile devices as it contains Flash animation.

Emoji are the cute graphics you share when texting your friends and family. If you’re an avid texter, you’re probably fluent in emoji. Those same visual concepts apply in e-learning design.

An idea for this challenge popped out in my head during this year Easter. Placing a funny emoji expression on an egg's face would be a cool effect - I thought. And I wasn't wrong. Finally I created a short memory game about recreating egg's emoji which was first shown for only 1 second. Check it out.

This week our challenge was to design a learning interaction for a science topic.
After learning some interesting mysteries I finally decided to go for the...sneezing and pepper subject.
Some animations in SL 2 allowed me to show how the piperine (an alkaloid in pepper) irritates the nerve endings in your nose, which makes you sneeze. There are some interesting facts on pepper and sneezing as well.
Check how many times will you sneeze during interacting with the demo.

Using image sliders and photo galleries in online courses was #84 e-learning challenge.

Interactive maps are a great way to showcase specific points of interest. They let users explore diagrams, floor plans, 3D renderings, and geographic locations.
decided to show a different approach on interactive maps. Instead of inserting another map screenshot I used some magic! All the ingredients are listed below:
- some hand drawn images
- a pencil
- a napkin
- good source of information.
And it's done! Check out the most popular London attractions shown in a creative way.

Soundboards are a series of interactive audio clips triggered by pressing buttons. And designing a soundboard was our challenge #88.

I really loved my first tape recorder and a plenty of cassettes standing in a row on the shelf. And this sentimental memory was the inspiration for creating my soundboard. You can choose any of the seven cassettes to hear different movie quotation. Check it out how the tape recorder rolls spin and the play/stop button switches after finishing audio.

This Articulate Guru Contest is kind of super-multi-challenge for me. I couldn't imagine not to participate!
I was fascinated by 'Escape the room' type game, so decided to try build one in Storyline. The work was divided into main 4 parts:
- non-digital planning and sketching
- drawing in PowerPoint
- building the game in Storyline
- testing, testing and testing.

The other project I submitted for Articulate Guru contest was an Awareness game. How many times were you focused on one thing and didn't notice what else was around you? Well, here's another chance to see how aware you are.
And yes, you're right - that's Unicorn's logo in use. Some JavaScript was added as well, not mentioning motion paths and animations in Storyline.

Have you ever played the icebreaker game "Two truths and a lie"? It's really cool, funny and you can learn more about the others.
It took me around 4 hours to build up my project which consisted of: designing pin board, editing some photos, creating 3 newspaper covers, drawing freeform newspaper scraps, moving all the graphics to Storyline and adding short feedback.

Have you ever tried the Wayback machine? It has archived billions of web pages over the years, so you can check how it looked like in the past.
I thought it would be a nice idea to show how the Articulate's website layout has changed, using a slider in Storyline 2. Some Photoshop was in essential as well. Check it out!

What's your golden tip for grabbing 100% audience attention?
I like to use full screen high quality images, which with relevant text/information have an enormous impact on the viewers.
And there's a lot of tools, which you can use to build powerful and meaningful presentations/e-learning courses.

Do you like video backgrounds when browsing websites?
Well there's a trend to design websites this way and make them more engaging. Our next challenge was to design any interaction using video as a background.
I like spicing up my projects with some JavaScript code - I thought it 'd be a nice idea to create a counter showing how many days are left until Christmas.
